    05 · Our rules

Seven rules, published before we score anyone.

Every clinic gets the same 100-point check. If a clinic disputes its score, we publish the reply next to it.

    1. 20

      A named surgeon operates

Does the critical steps, not a rotating team of technicians.

    2. 20

      Results at month 12

From real patients who agreed to share them.

    3. 15

      Credentials you can check

License, accreditation and society memberships, each linked to its registry.

    4. 15

      Aftercare in writing

Who pays, and what happens, if the result falls short.

    5. 10

      An itemized price

A written quote with no surprises at the clinic door.

    6. 10

A plan if something goes wrong

Emergency steps, insurance and a doctor to see at home.

    7. 10

      An honest consultation

Poor candidates are turned away; graft counts aren't upsold.

    From the editors

The price gap is an information gap.

Clinics quote one number in the advert and another at the door. Reviews get written in week one, before any hair has grown. We built Atlera so you see the whole bill, and the red flags, before you book.

How much does a hair transplant in Istanbul really cost?

In our worked example, flying from New York: $1,900 for the surgery, $780 for return flights, $320 for the hotel and meals, $240 for aftercare and meds, and $1,260 for a week off work. That's $4,500 all-in, 2.4 times the advert. Put in your own numbers.

What do all-inclusive packages usually leave out?

Often PRP (platelet-rich plasma), medication and the days you can't work. Ask the clinic to itemize the quote in writing, then check it for red flags.

What should I ask a clinic before I book?

Which named surgeon does the extraction and implantation, whether the graft count is in writing, whether PRP and medication are in the price, whether the deposit is refundable, and whether aftercare is promised in writing. The quote check turns your answers into a list to send.

    How are clinics scored?

On seven published rules worth 100 points, the same check for every clinic. If a clinic disputes its score, we publish its reply next to it. See the rules.

    Why no face ratings?

Atlera prices procedures and checks quotes. We don't rate faces.

    Is this medical advice?

No. Atlera is a planning guide, not a clinic. Talk to a qualified doctor before any procedure.
